My best prospecting area is limited to pans, shovels and buckets only. I am looking to move more material for more gold. Anybody had any luck with the banjo pan or hog pan?
I am getting 3-5 flakes per pan now with just a garrett pan. Would either of these other pans up my production?

Once you get good at panning, just about any pan can be used for production panning. But I see it all the time, peopel working it down too much in the field. I work it dow till I can pan off just a little of the black sand, then into the bucket it goes. If you are working in the same area, every so often, pan down and fan out to make sure that you are still on the gold.

I have used the la trap pan, the garret super sluice, a grizzly gold pan and my favorite pans, the proline, all for production panning.

Garret pan plus the 1/2" classifier from the newbie gold kit is what I use if I'm just panning. I just shovel on, pan down to partial pan, and re-fill.
