How many of those handgun deaths were perpetrated by persons who obtained their weapons legally and neither the shooter or victim were connected with either organized crime (mob, gangs, etc.) or disorganized crime (home invasions, attempted robberies, etc.)?

Shoot, I'd even settle for a percentage. Do you know where to find that information?

Cris....it would be hard to nail down how many tech 9's were used as they use the 9mm round. 9mm is a VERY common caliber, I even have access to a military 9mm semi-auto although I don't own one. (figure that one out) A crime scene, with 9mm cartridges on the ground, would just point to a 9mm, not necessarily a tech.
The tech 9 isn't manufactured anymore so the street thugs just use stolen guns of whatever caliber they can get their hands on. The killing continues due to our society, not because there are guns. They will kill anyway, don't matter.
