Yep. Search for "historical maps" (put it in quotes) and then the area you're interested in and you'll get plenty of hits.

Be aware that most of the old maps of the US are very general. The Sandborn maps are by far the most detailed historical maps in the areas I've seen for the areas where they can be found.
 

I understand that you asked about on-line sources, but don’t disregard museums and libraries in the area.
I’m in a very small county, population wise. It has a county museum with a plethora of plat maps; back to the earliest days of Louisa County.
 

What State ?

I Use F.W. Beers Historical atlas maps for my state and county & Township , in Some cases They even Have town Maps

some states and counties can be found online free of charge
