Anyone know a site or method to search patents from a particular day when no patent number is present?

I have a lamp here and I am trying to identify it. The lamp says, "MADE IN GERMANY", "US PAT, MAY 6TH 1930". I have identified the glass itself as having come from the Kokomo Opalescent Glass factory in Indiana-- "America's oldest art glass factory". A representative at Kokomo wrote me this:

"What an outstanding lamp! Well, they sent you to the right place. The glass is our color number #99 which is still in production today. Our resident expert on glass colors suggests that you check with the US Patten office for more information about the lamp, maker, and patten information. The shade is a very good match to the base and may or may not have come together. If you need a piece to replace something with, just let me know. Also, would love to use the photo on our website if you are agreeable."

Just for the heck of it look for markings on the lamp socket. I found mention of PH patents on metal and bakelite lamp sockets. Poul Henningsen (1894-1967) PH-2 TABLE LAMP, EARLY 1930s produced by .... and 'PATENTED', moulded mark to bakelite socket 'PH lamp' and 'Patented'

I have to admit, I didnt thouroughly search PH lamps until now and it sure looks like a mismatch. I hope somebody solves it. Many PH lamps are stamped "Made In Germany" but they all seem the same modern style. I guess the chances of a patented shade, being on a different manufacturers base, are slim.

Clues:

1- "Made In Germany"
2- PH-4
3- US PATENT MAY 6TH 1930
4- Red Deer bronze

The topic is How to Search a Patent Date? ...and I think this is the best chance of solving it.

What do you think ipsilateral? Have you checked the other MAY 6TH 1930 lamp patents to find another possible fit?

Im slowly realizing that the PH stamp and matching patent date may be a big coincidence. :dontknow: Stranger things have happened. I still believe the patent is the road to follow that will will lead to the ID.
