Just a quick hello while burning lunch time. Been a lurker off and on for a few years, but decided if I don't get around to actually jumping in feet first I'll never do it. I'm in SWMO (if you couldn't tell by the name), interested in various aspects of the "treasure" world. Been collecting facted/rough gemstones and the like for a bit, but wanting to get into precious metal hunting.
Not much around where I am directly, lots of stories of lost mines etc around here. Do know some legitimate "lost treasure" and within a 100 yds of the location but it's on private property that I don't have access to..better off to leave it alone and maybe buy that parcel of land when/if it comes up for sale to recover it. I'd tell the story now, but I'm on my phone and with a time constraint preventing me.
I'm going to be slowly building up a collection of DIY equipment for gold; dredge, sluice, etc. Id like to retrofit an off road vehicle for the sole purpose of traveling on vacations to hit some spots. I figure it would be a good family outing, if I can't get them to go then I'd like to make some connections and see what can be done down the road.
