It's a 1911 quarter Eagle, an 1804 plain 4 stemless half cent, and two more of those buttons - but these buttons have patterns. The first one I found didn't have a pattern. Also found 2 buckles, some clad, and a 1940s wheat cent.

You have an awesome site there! Great finds over a wide date range! :hello2:

yeoman or CT? Hard to see symbol in avatar picture. Aviation Ordnance veteran here.

lol my screen name should be easy to interpret, you might even get the joke ;)

Sweet!! Nice find. I would hit that area hard after a good rain. Ya never know . . . JHinPA (Lansdale).

Awesome find!

wow guess i should have read the name... I feel rather dumb now. Just got to excited for ya on the find I guess. Grats on the banner also!

Yeah it's definitely an 1804, it's in great shape and the date is very clear.

Long story short, old meetinghouse next to an older cemetery whose private owner has kept it open for public use. Hay fields around the chapel is where I keep finding this stuff so ol' Farmer Abraham & family must have had holes in their pockets and lots of loose clothing.

I'm gonna do this all summer and then make a shadowbox for the relics I find and present it to the local Mennonite Heritage Museum. Numismatically, I have found 2 colonial half pennies (KGII & KGIII), an 1804 DB half cent, 1911 gold quarter Eagle, and 2 wheats (1938 & 1946) for my troubles over the past 2 weeks. Unfortunately, such is my luck that when this place runs out, idk if it will ever hit me again :[

You're a good man for doing this cti . . . much better then I am! :laughing7:

I said they would be getting the RELICS, not the coins lol... I don't have space in my apartment for oodles of old buckles and buttons

Keeping the coin finds is 'your reward'; properly displaying and returning the relics is a very decent gesture on your part. Last year I detected an 1820 farm property that had been expropriated by the local government for the expansion of a highway, the relics that came out of this site were truly amazing! Here are some pics of just a few of the relics I found at the site! I located the grandson living down the road, created a shadow box frame with 20+ relics and presented it to him (I kept most of the coins of course). When he saw the brooches, pocket watch cases, rein guides and suspender buckles in the frame he practically started to cry! I think that seeing and having families relics back will always hold more meaning then simply being able to hold a coin in your hand any day!
Congratulations again on making the BANNER my friend! :occasion14:
