Please explain any connection here between this program and gun safety. They are turning in a toy for a book. (hopefully a book with absolutely no violence in it) Are they going to explain to each child how to safely handle a gun? Where is the "real" education on gun safety? There isn't any! Turn in your scary gun and get a book. How in the world is that promoting gun safety? It's promoting gun fear, nothing else. Is the agenda changing to disarming the make believe world first and then disarming the real world will be easier? I suppose it would be fine if my grandkids wanted to just keep their real guns and turn in toys they aren't using for books.
