PBK is looking in the right direction. Allis stayed on the farm, did not get out to the race tracks ...Had a bunch of little combines.. Sang with a group called the Tractors.

Ol' Allis did have some same-name car kin, though: a kissin' cousin by the name of Chalmers-Detroit, who later merged with Maxwell (ooh!) and ultimately became Chrysler.

None of which has anything to do with the subject at hand.
