I think its odd that electric vehicles are still not using power generation hubs. Tech has been out forever. In fact SON makes the best in cycling. I have seen 4 power hubs on velomobiles that supply the power assist enough to not plug it in if your just using power assist with hill climbing. Its 145 grams. The science is there even if the hubs are 50 kilograms each on an ev its a car.

We have the tech, we just refuse to implement it. small nuclear power plants would solve that part of the issue. The real problem is that the electric car is being presented as a way to save the environment instead of what it should be presented as, another source because fossil fuels won't last forever. When in fact with current tech and most foreseeable future tech, it is not a way to save the environment as it just spreads the damage out over larger areas. Same thing with the windmills, just spreads the damage out over more manufacturing processes and associated infrastructure.
