Guess I'm A Crass, Inconsiderate, Neanderthal, and Hater!

Every so often, just as we see animals where it is obvious that the people who own them have NO business being pet owners, we see kids where the parents have NO business or qualification of being "parents" other than the fact that they know how to breed. Now had my wife been there? She would I believe have verbally charged that woman like a rouge rhino. Well done Chadeaux, although sad to say that in all probability it will have no lasting effect on the woman.

Wow. I didn't know 'millennial' was a political statement.
Its not, yours shouldn't have been deleted.

A few weeks ago I went to Wally World with my 2 boys. Crossing the crosswalk between the entrance and the lot a non-english speaker about ran us over as he rolled through the stop signs. Holding the hands of my kids, I pulled them to a dead stop as soon as I realized no stop was coming.from the driver.

I blew up. Screamed, "WTF! Stop you stupid :censored:!" He kept rolling through and it took everything I had to not put my fist through his open window into his face. I should have drawn a bead on him for attempted murder.

This is becoming common around here with the new people. Every week it's something.

Reminded me of the time two small boys from up the street were caught lighting newspapers against my garage. I went up to their house to let the parents know and their mother came to the door. I told her what happened and asked where they got the matches. She proudly says, "I gave them the matches"! I told her, "Thanks for reproducing. I'll be right back with some more newspaper and show the boys where to light them"! Genius!!

You need to disown your daughter. We all are wondering how the mother would had fell if her son got killed. She would had to spent the rest of her life in jail for her son being killed. You did the right thing by trying to safe the boy. It was good for the mother that nobody called the cops and that she would had been arrested. God bless.

Disown? That's a bit strong. How about using the incident as a teachable moment.

Once the anger and embarrassment were gone this evening, we spoke about it again, and I got an apology, a thank you, and a hug. It doesn't get much better than that.

All that matters today; are the feelings of others. Never mind the truth, it doesn't matter.

What's wrong will be considered right, what's good and correct will be considered wrong and evil - hmmmm, read that somewhere?

Yep, I read that too. Seems those times are upon us my friend.

Eh, maybe you are right. Do nothing and let fate decide. It's not your kid.

That's not what I said. I think Chadeaux did the right thing, or at least he tried to do the right thing and had a good plan to do it.

My point was that introducing force to the situation, a.k.a calling the cops, is not the best first course of action. Better to talk it out with the lady and her kid first IMO. That's all the cops would do, nothing a man couldn't handle. You don't need a gun, or to call men that bring guns.

Favorite version of that one is:

"Woe to those who say that good is bad and bad is good,Those who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness,Those who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!"

Isaiah 5:20

How did he know? Did someone tell him about today? Hmm... He's the same guy who named Cyrus as the one destroying Babylon 150 years before he did it. The guy wasn't even born yet, but he named him as the one and even how he would do it.

Somebody knows more than we do.

And none of that would have happened if that lady didn't have the freedom to be a poor mother. Crazy huh?

I'm not convinced that calling men with guns would solve the problem. What do you suppose the men with guns will do? Next thing when they get done with the lady they might want to check you out for some reason. All of a sudden you are a suspect.
Bull ****!!

But it's not our job to police people! That's why we pay police to do THEIR job, and in this case, to assess the situation and decide a course of action. That's what they are there for, to help.

So if someone is drowning and ur not a good swimmer yourself, should you jump in and attempt to save them? NO! Emergency responders are adamant on this, do not interject yourself into a dangerous situation or they will have two people to try to rescue.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Teach the parent responsibility.

The parent needs to be responsible for their actions just like we all have to be. Nobody gets a free pass, and when you give them one, they will always want a free pass.

This is my last word on this, so whatever you have to say Duckshot, i will read it, but im done responding as I can't keep repeating myself.

You know I am seriously starting to worry that there isn't going to be enough caves left for all of us. :help:

Funny you should mention this "cave" thing. I still have room for abut 20 folks when the time comes. But sign up now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ummm, which cave are the females going to?

You don't have to repeat yourself, I heard you loud and clear. You are a statist, you place more faith in centralized planning than you do in individual response.

You believe that holding a mother accountable for letting her kids play in traffic should should involve force and coersion. I disagree.

What will law enforcement do? Take her kids away, lock her up, or fine her? That'll learn them.

I tend to agree about NOT getting the authorities involved. The folks at CPS or whatever it's alphabet "title" is love to "rescue" children away from their parents. Like it's always the best option to break up the family. Some cases in these troubled times it might be a last resort as some parents are complete idiots. Most cases can be handled without some team of government social workers invading your life and flipping everything on it's head because your child doesn't get to play with their cell phone at the dinner table. I am careful about escalating a situation which can be handled by the immediate parties without summoning the LAW.

Ok where, where? :dontknow: You're definitely in a good location for it. :icon_thumright:

That's not much of an argument there.

That's the thing about law enforcement. Everyone is suspect until they are eliminated as a suspect. What do you think cops do for a living?
I know exactly what they do for a living and I'm not trying to argue. "men with guns" is a stereo type.
There are cops like that but most are not. There will come a day, not long I'm afraid that we will wish there were more willing to do the job.
