Group hunt Sunday morning

I have a Question for " cntrydncr1 " where all your finds using the Ace 250 , if so with the ring and spoon , did you receive a steady bell sound ? what was the depth ? do you dig items if there is no steady bell sound and the pointer is jumping from one point to another , for example 5c to pull tab icon etc etc . And for the relics does the Ace give a steady Bell sound ?
what mode where you using in this hunt ?

I normally run the ace in jewelry mode. I did hunt a short spell in all metal but that iron sound drives me crazy. I wish I could remember about the sounds on the ring and the spoon... I recall that I thought I was digging a coin when the ring came out and I was surprised.... nothing was very deep...no more than 2-3 inches. I dig everything...that is until I get very tired of digging...so yes I dig jumpy signals. Sometimes dimes and pennies will jump around. sorry I can't give you better answers but I don't watch the graphics alot but I listen to the signals and I have a memory like a sieve!!! I do remember the bullets rang up like pennies/dimes.

And TJ thanks for posting Donna's pic too but she looks very cleaned up...not disheveled like I do ! LOL

We should have done a group photo.
That's funny about Donna though. We have a lot of pictures but just recently we realized we had none of us. I hunt in clothes that I can throw away so luckily only my butt is in the pictures. That crew wasn't dressed for the catwalk so you definitely didn't have anything to worry about. You had a real nice day hunting. I do think there is plenty in that park left to find.

Have to say I can't remember a day I had more fun metal detecting. All my muscles are sore today but it is well worth it. I really hope we can go again very soon. I will make myself available any weekend.

Greetings everyone,

Haven't been online in a few weeks but looks like you all had a good time last weekend. I'm just starting in the hobby and would really like to get to know some others in the area to help me along. I have a white's dfx I picked up last fall but really haven't been out much. I live in Philadelphia and I'm game for traveling anywhere. Let me know if you would like to include one more!

Thanks,

Chris

I had metal detecting hangover.my legs didnt want to work right the next day.I will post picture of my finds when i figure out how. :tongue3:Axe head still has me puzzeled.GREAT DAY.

Hey Shane... Were you able to get a date on the spoon from the markings?
I haven't been able to look at it yet. My wife got real sick and I spent a good part of Sunday night in the emergency room. I also took off Monday to take care of her. I'll check it out this week and let you know. It does have a name printed on it so I will have to do a little research first. Don't any of you feel bad, I work on a farm and my legs hurt yesterday too!

okplace, I hope your wife is ok. Glad you were able to take the time off to be with her. & aleve works great for sore muscles. I practically live on it.

I've played hockey and been abusing my body for 35 years. It's a men's 18+ league and I'm 42. I keep Aleve in a Pez dispenser. I was still a bit sore yesterday.

sorry to hear your wife was so sick. Is she doing ok now?

I think we all had a hard day of hunting. When are we going back???

She has to go in for surgery tomorrow. Woman stuff, you know. I am ready to go out again. I just have to see how my wife is first. Thanks for asking.

Hope all is well with your wife, I'm available pretty much any day with a day or two notice. Seems like Sundays are good for everybody though? Still a whole lot of that park left to hunt....

oldplacesnofinds hope your wife is doing well.

Yeah, Sundays seem to be a good day even though I am like you Ryan I can pretty much make any day work with notice.I know I'm ready to go again. Ryan do you think they would let us detect around Fort Hill or the Clifton House area? I know the Clifton House used to be the Sand Hill Tavern.

Brian

Shane, I hope everything is going well with your wife.
If we are able to go back to the park, I've mapped out the highest points which could be the possible fort locations. I am itching to get back out there. Any Saturday or Sunday works for me. That is until I have my first child which is supposed to be June 5. After that, I don't know how free I will be. I'd like to get out as much as possible until then.
