Group hunt spring of 2010

Josh and I were talking last night and failed to give thought about showers and bathroom arrangements. My fiance would physically beat me if 20 people were in and out of our house day and night......so we have thought about utilizing the campground that is located less than 1 mile from my house. May even be a good spot to get permission to hunt in addition to the other places we have lined up. It looks nice and pretty reasonable, and they have high speed internet to post our finds at the end of day one....my house doesnt have very fast internet.....anyhow..here is the web address..

11 days to the hunt and counting!!!!!! :hello2:

Do you know if the camp ground will even be open on that weekend....Matt

I called the campground last night and left a message. Griff called as well, we are both waiting on a return phone calls. I know the website says they open the 2nd week of April, but thats just our luck. Worst case, we will just go back to plan 1 since we are pretty far along in the "planning phase". I only have one bathroom with a shower since I live in a old house, but I'm sure a few of you wont mind using the tub together...... :dontknow: (joking)

Either way, we'll be hunting some awesome sites and finding some nice coins and relics....so by saying that.....10 days and counting

Craig and I spent a few hours today securing permission at some spots and had great results. Have several new spots lined up, which I am very excited about. If you are interested in this and haven't emailed me or Craig please do so ASAP. we need to make a definite plan by mid week. So if we don't hear from you, you may be out. It may turn out to be some people can come on Saturday and others on Sunday. here's a sneak preview at a couple of places we lined up today. the bottom pic the owner told us he has been there since the mid 60's and nobody has detected it. ;D

I am very sorry that I am unavailable to attend this group hunt.
Sure looks like a great place to search though.
Thank you for all your hard work, hope in the future I can attend a hunt with you fine folks.

Mike

ok we are going to have to seal this one off now. If you haven't responded to my email a week ago don't bother it's too late. We had to put a cap on this because we have a pretty big group and even though we have several spots some of them are not big enough for a dozen people at a time. There are a few people that originally showed interest, but did not repsond to my email. We will have to try and get another one together another time for those, my apologies. To all that have been corresponding with me, looking forward to seeing you all this weekend, the weather forcast is looking good.

Here are my good coins for today.

Shield nickel, don't think I am going to be able to see the date.
1912 Baber Dime.

I will post some pics tomorrow.
