Group hunt spring of 2010

If you have a spot - so new to this is will scare you but i know how to dig a small hole and fill it back in...yikes. It the dates work it would be a great place to learn if you can put up with that.

Except for July and August, I am tied up on the second saturday and Sunday of each month. I have a travel trailer. Is
there a place close by where I can park it?

Yup, you can park the travel trailer at my house if needed! Dont worry about the amout of experience you have.....just come out, learn and have a blast. I cant wait!! We are going to scout some spots tomorrow!!! I hope its 80 out,,,,, but I guess 30 is still better than -20..

we have got some great places lined up for this, and I am praying that they are virgin sites. we have several places where there were old farm houses on an 1874 plat map, that have been gone for years and now is just woods. Today we located several foundations and have a green light for detecting. But we are not done yet, we are still working on obtaining permission for a few more places that are spectacular. high of 47 here on Monday plus rain a couple of days next week, that snow is outta here! can't wait!
 

ok officially we are shooting for April 10th and 11th, and if the weather looks bad, we'll try for the 17th and 18th. We have some great spots lined up and we are not done yet, cant wait! We will be meeting in Grass Lake at first light. as it gets closer we will pm the address to all those interested. gonna be schweeet!
 

my schedule cleared, this will be great, i look forward for more details and calander dates will be open..
 

I am formerly committed to that Sat and Sun so I'll have to pass on that weekend, but I'll do a raincheck on that one.

Planet1 Mike, if you go up on the main page to TODAY'S FINDS (the top one) you will see what I found on my hunt at
a sledding hill. I even saw two beavers swimming in the stream.

Wish I could join you guys being that I have not got out much with the Ace 250 in the past year. I could definitely use the pointers. Unfortunately I am leaving that day to move out to Montana. I actually will be passing Grass lake but it will be at about 5:30 A.M. I guess I could stop but that might make the drive just a tad bit longer. lol. Anyway best of luck to you all sounds like a great time.
 

Nice ken ray.. .i tried a couple hills the ground is still frozen in some area's i even went to a school and try the wood chips are even frozen... a couple more weeks it will be better... sorry you cant go ray, i would just clear the slot and go, a lot of us always been talking about a get together and becuse of bad times and just way things happen we never get to do it... so this year im going to do it, i looking forward to it... :hello2: let the good times start for 2010
 

Ouch! April 10-11 is out for me. I can make it the following week though if you guys have to use the "rain day".

im getting fever bad lol.. this wendsday (march 31st) i get my nerves in my back burned so by the weekend i will be ready.. i will be able to walk all day without issue.. and with 70s going to be here ill be out friday, to get my machine warmed up lol.. im trying to find 2 indian trails in macomb county along cliton river.. And after this hunt im hopeing to meet a few and maybe in future hook up.. im getting permission for old farm property to hunt, and got the county historical society to even get me on a few areas. there more intrested in indian pottert but it gets us on areas to check out
 

I wish you luck on the 31st with your back. I go in on the 7th of April to have my heart lance. They are going inside my heart and kill part of it off because I have a rapid heart beat. It been beating a 130 a minute wher it is surpose to be 60 beats. So I don't even know if I am going to be able to make it on the 10th for the hunt. Will have to wait and see how t gose....Matt
