gravity dredge + modified sluice box = Need some help guys

Hey guys,
i have been to this portion of the river twice in the last 2 weeks -- using my BGT prospector and both times i had pretty okay results.
Now i want to get back to the GRAVITY DREDGING.
Summer is back, Gold fever too. :notworthy:
This time i am planning on getting PVC pipes, this way i can easily get a plug to successfully fill up the hoses.
always same process: 100 feet of pipe for about 10+ feet drops.
Planning to attach it to the bazooka and having a mate to help.

what are your suggestions regarding the hose size? 3'' or 4''?
what do you suggest to me?

cheers lads

if you are fit or can camp nearby go big as possible.
4inch , c'est le minimum.

I am FIT, my friend too --- however we go there and just do the job in 5 to 6 hours. so NO Camping.

you say 4 inches is the minimum... what about 3 inches???
just a sincere thought i need.
merci

3 inch works too but the bigger the hose the more material you can work and also bigger diameters seem too work more efficient ,so you would need slightly less drop.
Bonne chance, moi je vais demain matin, cheers

J'ai vu que tu as mis western sahara pour la location?
Tu es resident francais au maroc ou marocain?

you got the right sluice and the right hat for the job !👍

Try gradually expanding the volume of water within the system, ideally with minimal friction loss, with a drastic increase in hose / pipe size at your exit point with minimal distance as the sudden release of the body of water into the less dense atmosphere rather than back into the river itself creates a low pressure with equivalent suction at your intake minus friction losses. The volume / mass of water (times gravity / gradient) determines potential pressure and your intake-outflow ratio determines actual suction achieved.
