got scammed on here help

I haven't seen my grandpa in one month he got out of the hospital 2 days and is feeling better than ever and was just eager to go metal detecting and I needed this coil seeing how my other one broke about 2 days ago.

I understand being anxious to get your coil.

Even being nervous. $75 is probably a lot of money for you.

But you need to be something a little more than anxious to smear someone's reputation.

You need to be sure.

No need to go over the deep end.

(heck you may still be right.)

But consider it a life lesson. Peoples' reputations are the most valuable things they have.

I think the best thing to so is relax some. It's only $75.00 so if it does turn out to be fraud just be happy it wasn't $400.00
When your young and excited it is easy to jump to conclusions, try to resist that and life will be much less stressful...I bet you'll have your coil by Monday...

sent from a potato...

Yes I suppose it depends on how it was sent.
First class Or cheap class as to how many days :laughing7:

a response from the Seller would make things so much better I'm sure.

As I said, I sent him a PM requesting he contact Blong & assure him all is well.
Hopefully he is just unable to be contacted mid week like this.

OP is 19 & obviously new to dealing with sellers through the mail
so it is quite understandable.

I get impatient also when I can't count Saturday's & Sunday's in Shipping time.
Even when I'm the sender. that's 48 Hours in the nether world.

this is why I always Purchase a tracking #

Trouble is USPS workers get lazy sometimes & Don't update the tracking info,
from each station. :(
that really sticks in my Craw :laughing7:

anyway Give the Man a break. He just got nervous

:icon_scratch:...I doubt a robot can track a assumed screen name, and besides I'm retired....a little over-reaching on this one eh?

Well the sellers name was removed from earlier posts in this thread which is good. I'm all for calling someone out, but innocent before guilty and all that.

All the information anyone could ever desire is at the tip of your fingers. If a person is capable of posting to Tnet, then they are capable of researching enough info to avoid a situation like this.

The OP has no one to blame but himself and I certainly don't see why USPS is being dragged into this?

IMO, this thread should be deleted until there is some sort of actual proof that fraudulent activity has been committed.

How could I avoid a situation like this? How is it my fault for paying someone that says they are going to do something let me guess you are perfect and everything you done went exactly as planned

Correct. Personal names, and addresses
stay personal unless absolute wrong doing happens

You work for, or get Kick-backs from USPS ?

actually there was Wrong doing already.
Non Charter Members are Not supposed to sell on TreasureNet.

No ... doing so under the table Via PM's/Emails is Not a Bannable offense but
is technically Frowned upon,

And the seller becomes first one wrong when things are questioned.

if he had been a Charter Member, this would not be Public at all
for at least 10 Days Minimum not counting Weekends

USPS is flat out incompetent. It is very possible its delayed, lost, or just parcel post and by default it's going to take a long time...

Yes they will keep screwing up just for an excuse to raise rates again & again,
by blaming it on being understaffed :(

But they won't blame it on being overstaffed by incompetents

Yep, patience is a virtue.
I'm 41 and I had the patience to read all 5 pages of this thread for reasons unknown to me.
:dontknow:
Good luck with the coil you may or may not have been scammed on!
Cheers,
Dave.

OP did nothing wrong, other than maybe buying from non CM.....

Jeff is correct, I have purchased items with tracking number and yet half the tracking wasn't recorded......

Thread is relevant and does not need to be deleted at this time.....

I just sold a mint Whites Surf PI Dual Field on eBay, packaged it up to arrive safely for the shipping!
Shipped it out the following morning after purchasing tracking, insurance and sent it 2 Day Priority Mail!
Since I purchased the shipping from paypal and the label was on the box, USPS wouldn't scan it in and referred
me to a form to fill out that they didn't provide????
I got zero tracking on it for two days until it said out for delivery????
The post office didn't even scan it in so there was no tracking for the customer!
Thank god the customer was pleased with her purchase!
Yes the post office does screw up and it can be a very stressful situation!
So give it more time than you think you have to! It may take time to deliver!
Best of luck!

If you don't get your coil or money back by Wednesday 9/3, send me a PM with a name and address - I'll send you a check for $45, if no one offers to pick up the other $30 I will send you the full $75

non charter members aren't supposed to buy either

as far as dissing the USPS, take your stuff to fedups or whatever and pay for the privelege.

although 75 smackers is a lot of money to a lot of people, it costs more to get the best service (that's why those upper income people never post things like this:occasion14:)
