Got My New Surf PI

You traded an XLT for a surf PI!?

Hope you've used PI machines before and know what they're all about!

No disc. whatsoever, and will find a tiny nail at 2+ feet deep!

I dug a pop can top at over 3 ft down with my PI machine that I "used to own" (took 20 min to dig/find!) (as well as a Billion other pieces of junk) at depths nearing china!

If I were going to buy ANY PI machine, it'd be the new "Infinium" as the tech. has come a long way and Garrett has implimented a tone ID in it that is unsurpassed and way better than anything else on the market..

I'd also buy a PI machine only as a '2nd machine' for use at the beach only, because if you use it on land, you'll be finding buried cable lines, gas lines, etc. and digging holes 3 ft deep (2+ feet in diam.) looking for the target! lol? ;D

I dont know about the surf PI, but some PI's now have discrimination. Like the minelab 2200. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.

I plan to buy one soon that or a detectorpro pulse. Let me know how it works out for you. You cant beat a pulse machine on the beach, with a good scoop, dig everyhing. Its quick and easy fun and profitable

Whoooo sailer. I didn't trade the XLT for the PI, I sold the XLT and purchased a PI for the water. Had about 150 bucks boot money left over.

It is my second detector. I have a Prizm IV for land and beach use (yes, the Prizm works great on the beach with the 950 coil). Also, the new Surf PI has discrimination so you don't need to dig a 3 foot hole, not that I ever would. The Surf is going to be used in the surf, out beyond the tide line. I got the zero buoyancy coil for it also. It should work pretty good.

Hopefully the bull sharks wont pick up on the pulse (just Kidding).
