I was trying to edit the post and messed it all up.

My original post was that I see that someone hits the motherload. I am saying I hope it is Parker or the Hoffmans and not Dakota Fred.

The show based on the how they edit it has Dakota Fred rubbing me the wrong way. Fred told the producer that the show makes him look like someone who is only out for himself but he is really a nice guy. My idea of a nice guy would have lent parker the electrical panel. However he did claim it was his "partner" who wanted $10k for the panel (or was it Fred?)

The Hoffmans seem to make all kinds of mistakes and bad decisions, and Parker is impulsive, but he is only 17!

Still I hope it is either of them, but at the same time if it is Fred, well good for him, I wish it where me! Maybe the next time on the river I will hit a pocket for a hundred ounces!

Their weather window is closing quickly, their channel pay was frozen, and not enough heat for it to thaw, the carpets were freezing up on their last clean up. There best option is to keep running what they can find and leave their plant where it sits. I still can't figure out why they didn't hire a couple of welders and fix that piece of crap trommel.

My bet is there's more wrong with the tromel than just the welds

I read somewhere -- maybe here -- that the wash plant Todd bought was $350k. For that kind of money I would think it would end up in court.

Sooo ya think Fred is gonna try TNT on the glory hole :tongue3:

Todd saved the day by doing the obvious and got 200 ounces from Quartz Creek. Still think the obvious now is to dig and run the material from the settling ponds at Indian and Quartz Creek Probably another 100 ounces or more that was lost off the sluices.

GG~

Re Fred ,
I kept thinking the Same GG "Dynamite".
although I stand by my hope he's finished.

and I don't feel his pain over his Stubbed toe.
(yea I said it :laughing7:) I think he's faking the broken ankle

Don't know if a Recap is Necessary here, But for those who promised I would

Parker, with the suggestion from his GrandPa thinks he found the Ancient Creek Bed,
and was seeing some nice nuggets. :icon_thumright:

Fred Sprained or Broke his Ankle, if you believe the show,
but pressed on, trying to use the excavators to break through
a layer of Bedrock at the bottom of his Glory hole, with no luck
:laughing9:

Todd decided To truck the Dirt from Quartz Creek, now that "Indian_" has dried up.
and their Claimed take was 200 Ounces.

and next week is the 2 hour live special,
which My guess will either be 1 hour show & one hour live after show.

Or more likely,
2 hour show with Monday Morning Quarterbacking throughout,
which means more fast forwarding for me, to get through the BS Talk
and christie or whatever his name is, flirting with Todd & Parker,
and fawning over old lady :(

They showed his foot, but how much of that swelling was his club foot and how much was a sprain, if it was truly broken would he have been walking (hobbling) so well.
Although my wife broke a bone in her foot on the way to Disney World a few years ago, going from a cold pool to a hottub, but it was a minor fracture, still she couldn't put weight on it.

alot of the stuff on the show, I have to keep remembering itis a reality show and scripted to a big degree. But it is fun to watch with over 2 feet of snow in the yard here.

Question: what would be a better option, break down Big Red and move it to Quartz Creek, or just keep digging and hauling from QC to where Big Red stands now? It's time vs. gallons of fuel at this point.

Last night they said that was the last of the pay dirt at Quartz Creek. So now their options are limited to where they can find some pay dirt to run.

He's gona try something ,it will be interesting to,say the least. My boy think he's gona use a hyd hammer on one of the excavators ,I just don't know,if it would do the job
Would the TNT be a little much ?
Can't wait next weeks the end thou
Can't figure how there gona run live thou ? Surely there not up there this time of,year

You son has a good idea. :sign13:

I was joking about the dynamite it would probably bring the whole hill down and divert Porcupine Creek into it. :o
I'm surprised it hasn't collapsed already.

Be interesting to see what Fred comes up with. I know he is not going to give up on the glory hole without a fight!

I wonder how they know they aren't scraping the bedrock bottom. They just keep saying it's too hard and they can't get anything. IF ythey think there is still cemented gravels under the water, I would think a jack-hammer attachment would be in order. Although I realize they may not have access to one, especially so late in the game. Personally I say they did reach bottom and this is just dramatics to build for next season.

I wasn't joking about the Dynamite, because I seen a few so called reality shows use it,
I figure they will want a Big Boom baby too :tongue3:

Oh man that would be bad !!!
Could you imagine diggin all that out then popping it with TNT and it giving way and having to start over again

I could be wrong but I would think the bed rock would be fairly smoth
It is where we dredge. the water flowing over the years makes it that way!

if that happened to Fred, it would actually make my day :laughing9:

Why don't ya like Fred?

Goes back to the first season, he came onto what was then Todd's claim as an Observer for the landowner.
who he happened to be a good friend of.
at some point he said he wanted the claim & let todd's crew continue to dig for that
"glory Hole". all of a sudden Todd was supposedly late on a payment & it became Freds .

as far as I know there was never a correction made,
that Todd wanted out, so in My personal opinion

Fred is a claim jumber who through his friend, stole the site from Todd

perhaps Todd is better off fort it, But still

Perhaps we were fed a story
I see that Fred stepped in because they sucking at what they were trying to do
And at that pointe he knew way more than anybody on Todd's crew but they would not listen at all to him!
The truth is Todd got the boot from the land owner not from Fred
And I don't blame the land owner they were lost and the land owner has a vested interest in making the claim produce .if Todd was not capable and unwilling to listen to Fred who he knew had a lot more knowledge of mining . What would you do if that was your claim ?
I would have put the boot to Todd a lot quicker than he did
All Fred did was buy the place
The last time Todd and them went up there was just drama for the show they already had a agreement to buy some of his equipment over the previous winter

Perhaps we were fed a story

The entire show is a story. You can cut and clip to make it skew in which ever direction the producer thinks will garner more interest and viewers. And thusly more money...

Yep

a head hammer on that trackoe is going to shake the walls of that hole also, i wouldnt want to be in there or near the hole whatsoever with a head hammer banging away at the hardpan.

Parker however is the one that finds the goodies, all season he has been banging his head trying to find good gold, Gramps comes and assesses the area and next minute parker is on the best looking gold ever even better than all the other camps (fred or "Mistake man" todds camp)

agreed, But it has put a Low opinion of Fred in my Mind
