At the edge of where some de-construction work had occurred I was a hunting today. An area I had not searched much till today. Glad that I did and was willing to dig on that pull-tab signal. So without further adieu here it is !

Looks like it hasn't seen the light of day for a good while !! :headbang:

After finding the ring I dug trash for an hour or so then finally decided that was it for the day. Off to do some research tomorrow wish me good luck !

Sweet old gold ring!! Congrats...

Wow! That is a beautiful ring. I dig every pull tab I can find, and hope for gold. I recently found my first class ring. It was a 2010, silver. It's on it's way to the original owner via the mail. Good hunting!

Fairly sure I have the ring matched up with a name. Found a young lady in the 1961 class sibylline. With same initials. Took a few pictures of her in the book, would you believe that the first person I mentioned the name to was related to her and recognized her in the 1961 photo? Anyways both ladies at the Conoco convenience store here in town are related to her, and one of them has her phone and has text-ed her with some questions about the ring.

Just talked to the lady made arrangements to return the ring ! Her granddaughter wore the ring to a 50s style dance around 20 years ago and lost it.

Post the pic if she gave you permission. Nice looking ring.

Update, she gave me permission to use this photo of her, back in 1961 while wearing the ring 8-) Take a little trip down nostalgia lane :tchest:

Oh man that ring is a beauty! Congratulations!

What school was it? Awesome find, your reward for digging all of those Pulltab signals!

Now that's so cool, not only is the ring a great find but to return it after so many years after it was lost is even cooler. Congrats on both :occasion14:

Gorgeous!
I'm thinking 1862? Did I detect a dig on old dude in cjon455's post # 5 or did he fail math?

Whoops, no coffee yet, the style threw me. (and lack of reading)

Nice return!

Nice return!

Hmmm...I am detecting a dig on Old Dude in your post Brad, lol! You owed me that.

That is a very nice looking ring. Much better than any I have found. Great job with your research and the return. I am sure she was very surprised and thrilled to see it again. I bet her granddaughter is embarrassed all over again too, lol!

Beautiful ring and nice follow up story on your success finding the original owner

Just turned that ring over to a relative today who will help deliver it. I heard the grand daughter got rather emotional when news of the ring got to her, neat how one ring can make two feel better eventually ! Oh and on a side note going to make a post on my big find today shortly, first hole = karma !!!!!!
