Gold color stone with cross shape on it.

A friend of mine found this stone around the Sand Lake, Minnesota area. Wanted me to post. Gold in color and pretty sure not real gold ,nonmagnetic, light in weight and the size of a 50 cent pc. Not very good pictures but would appreciate any ideas as to what this may be. Thanks.

The cross may be a Staurolite crystal. I live a few miles from Fairystone Park in Virginia. Staurolites are called Fairystones locally.

The gold part could be pyrite.
