"I'm not going to college"

GREAT Rusty! College is nothing else as indoctrination to create good working slaves who believes everything so called :censored: "authorities" tell them. And btw. you can learn EVERYTHING yourself what you need for your job and life!!! :headbang:

I had no fancy paper-got the boot out of Jr high. had my 9th with a c- average. Only slave 4 yrs for anyone (1yr of that was for a family business) got my GSD, started business courses in University when I was 28. Dropped that because a habit got in the way. Retired at 48-still no paper in a frame. School of hard knocks-that's all.

Here is the cover for my book. (By the Way, it's an online book on Wattpad - it'll only go to print if I receive a good following on it, and later in life)

I've been working on several chapters, forming a rough draft. I'll go over it a few times to refine it and work out or add in any parts as needed.

Pretty cool, Rusty. :notworthy:

Last Thursday I made plans with my friend to go bottle hunting & MD'ing in the big creek. This is where the tornado came through last year. It has been very dry and my creeks are dried up, so I knew the big creek would be very low. I came home from work, cooked and ate and shot her a text.

Hey are you going to be able to come out and hunt the big creek?

I laid down for a power nap and when I got up 30 minutes later, there was no response. Time was wasting, so I got my gear together and went out by myself. Mr WD took me as far as he could on the 4-wheeler. The rest I had to hike, climb and crawl by myself. Here's some pics of my dried up creek bed to give you an idea. (keep in mind that my hunting buddy knows exactly what obstacles are back here)

I didn't find but a couple broken bottles, glass and a piece of crock, and trash a fisherman left behind. I packed all of that up and lugged it back to the pick up point.

Then, on Friday night as we were driving down to western KY, I get this text from her.

Hello. Oh my gosh!!! I am so sorry. I just saw your text and I completely forgot. :sadsanta: dang..what a bummer. Did you find anything?

Well, we were heading into a rest area and I told MR WD I should post an antique bottle with some value to it. But I had to think about it.

So, when we got back on the road this is what I came up with.

Yeah buddy you missed it! Look at all of these I found. Mother load!!!

So we had some text exchanges in which I told her what we were up to and then she replies with this.

Next time call..text and blow up my phone...I'm distraught over missing it!

We gave it about 15-20 minutes for her to ponder what she missed. Then, MRWD decides to call her and harass her.

Mr WD :
I can't believe you left her hanging like that! What kind of a hunting buddy are you?
My friend:
I know! I know! I feel so bad!
and then the excuses came, but MR WD just kept on about how I had to lug all that by myself and I was out in the creek by myself. I could of got hurt, blah blah blah. And she was very very remorse about forgetting. She said they were trying to watch a show and she couldn't keep up with it because she was thinking about all of those bottles she had missed out on. So I jump in on the conversation and she asks me:

Friend:
Where did you find them?

This was a great lead in to spill the beans.

Me:
I found them on the internet

Friend:
MISSY!!!!(Not my real name but I have to use something here) WHAT THE #&!! ARE YOU THINKING?!?!?! Leading me on like that! I was devastated that I forgot!

It took her a few minutes to calm down. Oh, we laughed and laughed for quite a while.

MR WD said he was proud of me for coming up with that prank. LOL!

So, tell me, have any of you pranked your hunting buddies?

Found one too :laughing7: Most famous cat on the net I guess but WHO is this crying lady and the story behind it??

While looking for something in the truck yesterday I found this old find I had placed in small compartment above the counsel a business card was hiding it.
I dug it a couple of years back now out of a farm field, when I saw the edge appear I really-really thought I had finally got the silver dollar monkey off my back-nope.
Close in weight and size and silver content.

The excitement
The reality check
But still a really good find.
