That's nice

Oh I like the horseshoe flask.:icon_thumleft: Please tell me about the seam, does it stop or go over the lip.
I have some bells that are from the 16th C. Found one just laying right on top of he soil on a hunt.

It stops. Then it cracks. There’s a weird spot of overflow glass on the seam. It’s the pic with the dirt. Dang it! I haven’t found a bottle in so long . I don’t have any cleaner! I see atrip to the store this weekend.

Thanks rook and pepper! I’m so excited! I never expected to find that! First one not found in the creek or off the old road. How many am I walking on or worse, riding over?

If I found something that old you both would be able to hear me whooping it up!

Congratulations on that pepper. That’s awesome!

Here’s my other finds from tonight ( minus the glass, nails and trash).

What was it?

Is this from a garter belt or something?

I thought this was a bone. Turns out it is some sort of handle. Maybe silverware?

Another handle maybe?

Your bottle is 1890-1900
From I can see on the phone screen.
Applied lip, not the whole neck.

Good site for dating bottles.
That could be a bone handle.
I'll check it out in the morning.

That's what's so cool about digging in the soils of the UK. It can be a pull tab or something from the Bronze age.
After 8 trips over it certainly filled the dream box of possibilities.
