Let me see if I can dig up some pictures I took of this place. This was all done years ago, when I didn't have my good camera though...

Nice pics Buddy!

Its a real shame that I don´t have one single pic from my snakes. Some family members made some when they visit us but I never got a photo. Just made a lot of my iguana with a digital camera but this was many years was later.

I had snakes that looks a bit similar to the green mamba but not such toxic.

Trimeresurus albolabris (Don´t know the english name)

I had them since they was babies and they was real tame! Not one single bite. This was the only toxic snakes I had. Otherwise mostly Boa´s and Pythons.

Looked like this little guy

PS: All my snakes was tame except my reticulatus... This little :censored: bitten me so many times and I gave it away to this well known guy:

r.n..jpg This is now 38 years ago and I wonder if the snake "Rudy" is still alive.

And yes, she got the same Name as this guy :laughing7: She was my first snake in fact.
Was a great action to bring him this snake. I was into outdoor and survival since I was 14 and got all books from Rüdiger which he signed when I brought him the snake.
He showed me his snake room in his cellar and there was a frightening HUGE reticulatus. Her eyes had the size of a pinball !! :tongue3:
Later I lost the contact to him.... I think it´s time to contact him again and ask whats happen to the snake and if it is still alive. :icon_thumright:

Good morning Snake_Restorer. :hello:

That is not that false Buddy! helped them a lot when they changed the skin!

Even with special UV lamps etc. they got sometimes problems with changing the skin. I think snakes in nature has n´t that kind of problems at all.
Sometimes I had to pick up tiny pieces for HOURS :laughing7: But the snakes liked it :headbang:

I had a REALLY BAD experience with two snakes when I was like 5 or 6 and are scared almost to death any time I see ANY snake. This is my vehicle I use when in snake country. After I am done I then call in for Napalm for clean-up.

I fully understand that Buddy! Some scares me to death too! when I see on YT videos from free living Pythons etc, RESPECT!! They are not Toys!

If they are home grown (don´t find the correct word for it at the moment) they can be the loveliest animals ever but wild snakes.... GOSH!

I guess I told you the story of my 4.5 Meter Burmese Python who was best friend with my cat after she bite him in the tail :laughing7: They slept together in the terrarium! Both loved the place with the heating cable below.

Call me crazy but I think some snakes realize who belongs to the family and who not. Otherwise I don´t understand that this can happen.

Tom, have you tried this shot yet ?

Not yet!
When I was 15 I bought an air gun and shot with it on an old tire that was lying in a nearly dried out pond. The pellets made this Hollywood style sound when the came back into my direction and one of it hit me in the b:tongue3:lls!
I stopped it than because is was n´t such funny :laughing7:

Tom, have you tried this shot yet ?

PS: That´s the reason everyone should shot high energy crossbows! On this low distance, everything that will fly back into your direction will be small splinters and dust without much high energy because most of the arrow/bolt will be "vaporized" :laughing7:

Watch out Rook, I think Sister is planning a little something for Sadie :dontknow:

If you are still here Tom I am going to sign off until later. Thanks for the fun :notworthy:

Goodnight and good morning :hello:

Wow, so you actually owned snakes! That's pretty cool. Please tell me the dude with the spider on your head was really you... Love snakes, hate spiders.

Speaking of spiders, have I ever told you the story about my brothers teacher? She went down to Brazil, along with her entire school for some kind of event. It was tropical, hot, and they had weird animals. (sounds like Miami.) Anyways, she goes to use the bathroom, and she opens the stall door to find a Goliath Bird eating Tarantula, sitting on the entire toilet seat. Like it covered the whole fricken thing. She ran out of there screaming her head off, and the man in charge went in to have a look, ran out, jumped into his car and left. He came back three hours later with a group of workers, and they were carrying a package. They made sure no one was a round, and they threw the package into the bathroom, after they connected wires to it. It was three quarter sticks of TNT. KABOOM! Dead spider. :occasion14:

Morning Simon, good night Simon,.....
