Great episode!

I think the ghost is trying to show them where the motherlode is. Getting them to follow and then disappearing into the wall where the bonanza lays.
The portal getting caved in really did look sealed on purpose. A lot of questions went unanswered for sure.

Still wondering where the portal led to that had the draft coming through, must come out somewhere that air can come through. They never said another thing about it.

I would think Curiosity would be enough to get them to go through

I just "found" this show a couple of days ago. I can't tell if it is supposed to be "reality" or completely made up. The two paranomral investigators are just too perfect and seem like they are acting/reading from a script. Some of their facial expressions seem like they are acting too hard at times. And they seem to be too brave considering what is supposed to be going on. Either that or that red head has way bigger balls than I have. I can't even imagine walking 1/4 mile back into a dark tunnel let alone one that some big, burly miners just came running out of because they were uneasy. You couldn't pay me enough money to do that.

The miners all seem legit and I really LOVE all of the mining stuff (especially the tour of the old dredge). The masonic connection is intriguing too. They have a really nice balance of suspense and mining info. I went back and watched all of the episodes back to back "on demand". Very entertaining stuff. Too bad the season is over already. I'll be looking forward to next season (assuming there is one).

One thing I didn't understand is the hollow wall they found in the mine in one of the later episodes. I feel like I may have missed something. Did they ever go back and find out what was behind that wall where the wind in the tunnel seemed to be coming from? I expected them to open that wall in the next episode but they went on to something else.

I haven't read every post here so forgive me if someone else has already pointed this out. I didn't know this but I just read it somewhere. Although women are considered bad luck in a mine, red headed women are considered especially bad luck. Funny that they'd pick a red headed woman to play the part considering the how superstitious most of these miners seem to be.

Ahh... I missed the first episode. Time Warner only had episodes 2-6 available On Demand. I'll have to try and find that one just so that I've seen the whole series.
