GHOST MINE!

interesting show last night. Averaging 4oz per ton sounds good to me.
since they will need to send it out for processing,
I suppose we'll never get to see the actual product,
But looks from the preview they may hit the jackpot next week.

personally I'd be blasting that doorway (gateway) open,
perhaps that's where they will find all the gold, in the older workings.

I'd swear each week they show less & less of the mining.
this week they took one small piece out for the boss to do a fire assay

oh & the bang while they were playing cards ? Big foot now ? :laughing7:

Somehow the show is reminding me of a Scooby Doo episode. :laughing7:
Just have your children or grandchildren around when viewing...... (in case someone catches you watching it you'll have an alibi)

now that's scary :laughing7:

It wouldn't surprise me if the mine owner tried to scare off the miners after they hit the mother lode. :tongue3:

Yes it would be to his advantage to keep them on edge, & push them over it
right before the big pay day :laughing7:

I noticed the Ghost hunters finally realized the owner is not going to send bones in for testing.

last thing he needs is the Coroner to say they are human,
and Special interest to say, this mine is a grave yard.
shut it down and put up a memorial & parking lot for crybabies.

they do the same here. when My dad first got a job with the biggest anthracite mine in the area,
he was told, you see anything unusual, "you don't" just pretend it's not there
or destroy it. that was early 70's and will never change.

When this series started, I thought it was a little goofy but watchable. After tonight's episode, I don't know if I will be watching any more. Just too made-up and hoky.

I on the other hand Loved last night's show & thought it was maybe the best so far.

That is after the initial Family time, and
staged hunt for the little girl who wouldn't yell "Here I am"
when they called her name.
Good reason for a beating IMO if it had been real :laughing7:
{ & No I'm joking on the beating part, but seriously :icon_scratch: )

anyway Very odd the man contacting them And telling them of the 3 Granite boulders.

then, Very odd the condition of the mine entrance, when they dug down to it.

Of course they may have shored up the entrance before entering, as per Mining laws.
and left out original condition video.

Jason I could do without the Ghost'ee BS but it is Sci-Fi, and at least they are leaving out
the pretend attitudes channels like History & Nat geo insist on.

But I really loved the 5 to 10 minutes of video from inside
& My mind can go all directions, on that High Grade Ore Vein
they are claiming to be chipping away at.
I realy hope they do a fire assay, on that bit & Give us the results.

Show ended too fast last night. 7 Gold bars on a scale of 2 to 9

they lost on the lost little girl drama :(

Pretty interesting show last night, what with finding out the mason connection to the mine and the sealed entrance leading to the mother lode.
I'm still wondering about the other sealed portal that they found! wonder whats behind it.

Oh well, hope next weeks final episode clears up all the mystery and we see some awesome gold!

GG~

I'm thinking the other sealed Portal,
was just another way in to where they are.
but am curious also to see if I'm correct

You could be right. But it still makes you wonder where was the air was coming from.
Also wondering how the first crew that walked off knew about the covered up adit and the granite markers. :icon_scratch:

The first crew must have been complete newbies.
I'm still wondering how a few superstitions scared them away.

unfortunately next week is the end of season one,
and although they are going to start working the new area
the ghost hunters are going to try and scare them out,
which I'm guessing won't happen,
but will probably end with a head scratcher :(

I do enjoy the show. However, it seems like every show needs some sort of Masonic tie-in these days.

Yes another Sci-fi ploy. Convince their viewers the FreeMasons were able to do Supernatural things :tongue3:

Here is an interesting newspaper/journal
8 pages (zoom in to read)...........

CLICK HERE: The Sumpter miner. (Sumpter, Or.) 1899-1905, September 13, 1899, Image 1 - Chronicling America (The Library of Congress)

I also uncovered this.....
According to Syfy's website, "Ghost Mine" was filmed at the Crescent Mine.
However,
LeAnne Woolf, a Sumpter city councilor, said in an interview this summer that the series was filmed mainly at the Buckeye Mine group which is near Bourne, about six miles north of Sumpter along Cracker Creek.

LOL So they Are making the whole ghost investigation thing up too

Well Season is over, but is the series over ?
was hard to tell & my DVR shut off as the credits started rolling.

I really Really really Really really Really really Really !
Hate the Theme song !!!!!! however...

last night's show was the best episode of the series.
allot more mining, however allot of questions left.

let's start with them standing inside this supposed dangerous mine
while Blasting, You see dust & Debris flying by them.
Cut to outside you see thick Dust & smoke billowing out the face of the mine
from the blast :laughing7:
I know here in PA when they blast it's last act of the day. after all are gone.
Nobody enters again
till morning. I think it's a law.
Cut to end of show, Mine face Collapsed. was this really what happened after they blasted ?
and for Drama they pretended the face being shut was a surprise ?
:laughing7: I think they blasted it shut for the winter to protect their assets from winter scavengers
& prevent a possible death, on their insurance policy.

Next Dingis Disappears ? like the little girl last week.
they yell for him & he doesn't answer ? also obvious B.S. add to this Yelling in
a supposed dangerous mine ? I think I know what's happening

the Buckeye Mine group which is near Bourne,
is a excellent safe mine & what they aren't filming there is being filmed
in studio & CGI .

also notice when talking to dingus after his episode and he said he was following someone,
the answer was We are the only crew in here now. which means to me there are other crews there,
but these are the ones hired for the show.

I could go on & on but will leave it at this over sized post at the moment.

But was fun while it lasted. I hope there will be a season 2.
The Gold was Awesome :headbang:

$80,000 each for a short 3 month season ? I'll take it :coffee2:

that's what ? about $1000 a day ?
$125 an hour ? plumbers wages 8-)
(forgive my estimation math)

oh & Kristen ?

she's an Actress / hypnotherapist who does Skype shows :laughing7:
or at least did.
3 movies. Harvest Of Fear, Spiral and Drama Queens
