I found my 4th ring with my Ace 250 I got for christmas. BUT NO SILVER COINS YET!!!!!!!!!!
Todays ring is a gold plated wedding band. It was 6 or 7 inches deep and showed up as a dime on the display. I found a pocket knife pretty rusted. a 52-D wheat penny and a 66 canadian penny. lots of clad and doo-dads. I also found a string of 13 (OH NO MR. BILL) pull tabs that were hooked together till I tried to pull them out all at once. A few .223 blank shells, one not fired. That large round lid showed up as a 50 cent piece......Imagine how excited I was for about 3 seconds when I saw the grooved edge all shiny about 6 inches down. DANG IT!!!

Congrats on your new MD. Having found 4 rings in that short period is excellent. I am sure by the end of the year you will have a nice little collection. Keep posting them.

In seven years of metal detecting I have never found a ring! I guess the type of sites I visit are not conducive to rings.

WTG!

That's awesome DL!! Those are some great finds! I love the knife and the ring too! God, I remember doing the beer tab chains too. My ex-husband and I had our whole apartment strung up.......lots of cuts on the ole fingers too!! ;D Of course, I didn't drink any of those beers! :P

Keep up the good work!

Dang!! You're doing awesome!!

Congrats on your finds!

:)

There are more rings in the ground around here than silver coins. My last dollar size dig was a nice brass token from an oil company, so you gotta dig them even if you don't have much faith. Good work. Monty
