Hello, thought I'd kill 3 birds with one stone. The cross could be church related. The jeep still has the pin attached. George is coming out of the fog. Anyone ever found anything like these. Found the car yesterday. Any idea what age?I love the cross and its symbols and will probably use it as my profile pic. I would love any info on it. Thanks for looking. Happy Hunting this fall!!!! Thanks in advance!!!! Once you find out what something is it loses some of its mystery. Still having a little trouble uploading pics sorry for the upsidedown.

Any markings on the back of the first one? I suspect it's mining related, and possibly dates to the early unionization era. I looked up United Mine Workers medal on google but didn't see any matches, but that's a good starting point I think.

I am not sure of the background on the Medal/Pendant but J.H. Diehl was a prominent maker of Civil War Tokens and Medals. Not sure how many years he operated as a manufacturer of Tokens and Medals but definitely from the Civil War Era into the 1880's. The "J.H. Diehl 18 N 8 Philadelphia" actually reads "J.H. Diehl 19 N 9. St. Philadephia" as the lower loops of the "9's" are filled in and/or corroded which makes them appear as "8's".

I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee that is stock but it gets me out in the mining areas. Back in the day the body styles of jeeps didn't change much other than a slanted windows, window frames, flat finders, bumpers,
tire/fuel/water can mounts, etc.

My guess is 1950's-1960's Willys Jeep (CJ):

Oh and I think and thought that the medal is mining or Workers Union related.

The rectangular medal is Jesus walking on water with the disciples in the boat. (Matthew 14: 22-23) What is on the back side of the medal?- JHinPA

Thank you for the ID, I even like it better now! I believe it is a box piece rather than a medal. It would not be made to wear sideways I don't think.
