Question:
What do you think is going to be the next new feature the Metal detector has to offer??? Is is going to be enabled with GPS services... a helmet with video and audio and probably night vision... What do you think is next or if their is someone who knows please tell.... and how much is it going to cost is the million dollar question... The site for the imaging unit/software that True Metal was talking about is www.l-r-l-m-a-n.com ... without the dashes. Check out the ARC-GEO Logger.

AMEN Diggummup, how much land does the Dep. of Interior have now. I think about 86% of Nevada. They're starting to do us what was done to Native Americans. Guess they forget who pays for their condo's in the Bahamas. What good does the fanciest detector do if you can't take it beyond your own property line?

Thanks Darren 8)

Just for the record and to all. I am not a spokesperson or salesman and do not have any affiliation to the Imaging technology or the LRL controversy what so ever. I merely mentioned it because it was the only thing pertaining to the topic that i remember seeing lately.

I personaly would like to see wireless headphones coupled with a wireless in line probe. That would be cool! 8)

True-Metal beat me to the punch....I just started using headphones and would like to see them wireless. I don't think that would be too far fetched to achieve (and still keep it light).

Oh yeah.....and my GPS unit has a battery that holds it's memory for a lifetime, so why can't our regular batteries last a lifetime? Is there some connection/payoff between battery manufacturers or what?

are you shure you'v only been detecting for 2 years "Free" ? you talk like a Pro? ;) your uncle taught you good

an inventor friend of my dad's built an imaging detector prototype that could "see" about 18" into the ground and displayed on small led screen. Poptops looked EXACTLY like rings so much we would get excited everytime we saw them! Same profile! The device had extremely short battery life and created gobs of interference. I think he used a microwave magnetometer in it but that I'm not sure of.

I like the light attachment feature someone mentioned and the weedwacker (LOL) would be great too :DH.H.

I just stick the Ear Piece in My Ear & put my headphones over it. If it falls out my ear it's still lying in the Ear cup.
