Welcome to the Forum and congrats on a great looking find !

Looks like Gold from here.
I'd take it to a local Jeweler and let them test it.

Good Luck !

GF welcome to Treasurenet. That is a nice find :)

The ad indicates both gold and steel, so, I suspect it's gold plated. Hope I'm wrong though!

I don't know, but that might just mean that the pin fixing on the back is made of steel.

Welcome to Tnet.

Difficult to say just by looking but, if that's an original rather than a copy, then it should be gold and a great find. An original would be from Dolce & Gabbana, like this:

I can't see the 'DG' letters on yours, so it's possibly a copy without their branding (and therefore might not be gold) but a good clean-up should tell you.
Wow that is the exact one! The writing is still encrusted but thats a match.
Lytham is a very wealthy town so that also makes sense.
Amazing work Red-Coat!!
Thankyou so much!
(How do i clean it off?)

Found another online, described as "gold tone" with a steel base, which sold for £80 (~$100).

Ah well... can't win them all.

Yikes that sucks!
I might as well go and bury it again....😔
Excellent Detective work though, Thats what i was hoping for when i posted here and you found the exact item!

If it has steel in it, it should stick to a magnet.

No matter what metal it turns out to be, it is still a great find! Congratulations! Welcome to the forum from the state of Oregon.

Guys i found this today Metal detecting on the beach in Lytham Uk!
Can anyone tell me if its real gold?
Its super heavy at 19.3 grams and it has no blemishes in the clean parts.
Encrusted in thick dirt (almost like a coral texture). Hard to remove.
Excited to hear your thoights as the jewellers are shut on Sundays (today) in the UK View attachment 2200145
