i have cast iron that has rusted a little is it safe to remove the rust and then use. and i have a cast iron 7 inch round pot thst we used to melt lead in outside on a camp stove. the lead in the bottom left over looks simular to this i also have a lead bar that says 25 on it and has a wire loop out the top 25 might be weight looks like door stop mabye older

Cast Iron pans are safe. Stop eating out of your lead melting pot. Start a new post to ID your lead bar. :)

Note: I throw my old rusty iron on my banana plants.

Remove the rust and use that pan. :thumbsup: Cast iron is practically indestructible if you take care of it, and as long as you don't heat a pan up and pour cold liquid into it.
