Today I found my third Liberty Cent in recent weeks, the other two being another 1837 and an 1835. Wish I could someday find a Classic Cent as I find Draped Bust Cents and plenty of Liberty\Matron Heads. My oldest Liberty Head Cent is 1822. I like the big scrolling 2's they used.
This one is not in bad shape and is better than the the last 1837 I found. The 1835 is in very good condition. The difference, I believe, is the better 1835 was not subjected to more recent agricultural chemicals.
My running joke is the spirits of a site have welcomed you if they give you a key. I have a collection of such old keys.
The small silver ring was was found deep in a colonial-era stratum.
The unknow object seems have been attached to a shaft. Interesting that is numbered.
