Found on property used by Underground Railroad

Found this on a property that was used by the Underground Railroad in Thornton,PA. Any ideas of what it is? It is made of iron and it is hollow and heavy.
Looks like an Elephant or Pig. What do you think?

Looks like an old cast iron furnace leg. We had a large old coal stove with similar legs. They hooked underneath and the weight pushed the top against skirt. Looks like a good chunk of iron. I'll bet the medal detector went crazy. Bil
