Detector(s) used
Minelab Excal 1000, Tesoro Silver Umax, Tiger Shark and Whites MXT.
Well it was my second time out with my new Minelab 1000 and a local small town beach at the lake and found a toy, key $4.64 in change and my first 14K gold ring with a rose gold stone. Girlfriend estimates it goes for $80. I won't be retiring just yet, but being my first gold ring, I'll take it. I would also like to thank Sandman, as he helped steer me torwards the Minelab 1000 and the way its going, I think I have made the right choice.

i think you did to,nice ring.

Nothing like the excitement of the first good gold ring....or even an old broken one for that matter. If that is only your second time out with that detector you might have a good fall season ahead of you. Nice photos and congratulations on the rind and other finds!

Great finds, what a thrill to hear the clank of a ring in your scoop. Looks as if you had a great day.

great ring !!! and a good count to boot,, i know exactly how you felt,,
wan't all that long ago for me either,, ya won't forget that beauty !!

Nice ring there you found and a good start for you, you will never be sorry with your decision to go with the Excal. If your girlfriend doesn't snatch the gold ring, put it on a nice chain and then watch the "finds" necklace grow with additional finds.

I have a "finds necklace" with 20 rings on it, (wife snatch 2 diamond rings and one gold ring) I keep it on the skull, on top of my "treasure chest jewelry box" on top of my dresser. I found a nice skull head at a garage sale that lights up and the skull wears the necklace. On occasion, I wear the necklace and it is fun to watch people try to see what the rings are that are on it.

Good luck and good hunting...... ;)

Thanks everyone and great idea treasure_hunter. I like the skull idea, too, LOL.

Thats a beauty!....nice pile of change to boot....congrats......Joe
