Found my first gold ring today!

Well it was my second time out with my new Minelab 1000 and a local small town beach at the lake and found a toy, key $4.64 in change and my first 14K gold ring with a rose gold stone. Girlfriend estimates it goes for $80. I won't be retiring just yet, but being my first gold ring, I'll take it. I would also like to thank Sandman, as he helped steer me torwards the Minelab 1000 and the way its going, I think I have made the right choice.

I hunt in jewelry mode just about all the time!!! with the ace 250 all my gold has come up as Nickels so far.

Thanks again everyone, back at the grind now and will be searching for more later this week. We will see if the Minelab continues and I have to break out the DFX again, too. Both detectors have been treating me well and have really sparked the enjoyment in this great hobby!
