🥇 BANNER Found my first gold coin

Got out this morning before the sun came up. Went to a small woods lot where I've found a few coins in the past. Got an iffy signal at 5 inches and pulled this 5 dollar gold piece out. Searched for 2 more hours and no more coins. It was getting hot by then so headed home a very happy man.

I found the same coin except mine was a 1908. Found in clay soil twenty feet from saltwater. Came out of the ground clean and beautiful.

Good for you, I've hunted 27 years now, and still don't have one.... gold reads all over the place on the VDI, but, no one wants to dig "every" target...
