If the 'gold' disc is Iranian, it might be a token.
The bill has the number 20,000 in the upper left (backward '7' followed by four 'diamonds') The official currency of Iran is the Rial (Farsi: ريال). The 10,000 Rial bill is sometimes known as a "Khomeini" because the picture of the departed Imam (i.e., Khomeini) is imprinted on its obverse. 10,000 Iranian Rials are equal to roughly one U.S. dollar. Your 20,000 Rials bill was originally worth $2; perhaps, still today.

If thats gold, it's a nice find! I'd be concerned about finding a land mine over there!

You've got a metal detector! Just step over the "bad" signals!!:laughing7: Just joking of course! God bless our troops and their families!

Welcome to Tnet.

I think the ‘gold’ item deserves better pictures than you have given us. The regularity of diameter suggests it can’t be ancient, but one side appears to have a stylised ‘King wrestling leopard’. That’s typical Sasanian imagery, as on this 5-6th Century plate shown below for comparison:

Maybe it’s some kind of modern fantasy or souvenir borrowing from that imagery. I can’t make out what’s on the other side from your picture. This way up, it looks a bit like an owl or bird of prey perched on something:
