Found a nice button - Solved - Updated with Pictures!!

Hello,

I just cleaned up a button I found today and it revealed lots of gilt and a maker. The back reads:

B & B

EXTRA

If you know the location and dates for this company, I would appreciate having the knowledge. I will post a picture when I write up a story for the hunt tomorrow or this weekend.

If you're interested in some great cleaning methods for gold gilded buttons, be sure to read my post "How to Clean Buttons" in the "Cleaning and Preservation" threads.

I'd like to see a photo of the button before I make any comments about a possible ID.

If it was not for your button guide, I would be completly clueless about how to handle them. I still am in some reguards, but I know a lot more than I would otherwise. Ill stick up a photo tonight for you.

As promised, here is a photo. I am open to any criticism, as this is the first fully gilded button I have found and tried to clean. Being new, I am sure there is something I did wrong, and if you can see it, I would appreciate some feedback. Otherwise, enjoy, and thanks again for helping identify it.

That is a wonderful looking button. I see no problems with it considering it is a dug item.
