Since Both the Women Who the ring could belong to are 75 & most
likely married at least once, making finding their Maiden names impossable to find in the Phone Book,

I'v Decided on Wednsday I am going to go to the Local
Newspapers and Post a List of the 2 Possable female owners of
the Class Ring I found.

with a Note to ID the ring they must give me their Middle Name.

Hopefully their middle names arn't the same or the Initial P :P

And Hopefully they both or at least their Relatives still Reside in the area.

Hey Jeff...just wanted to update you on my finds after you and Nanook left....nothing to write home about. I lasted about another hour after you guys took off.....my days take amounted to 31 cents in clad (all ranged from 1965 to 1970), a jitterbug lure, three spinner baits, more sinkers than I wanted to count (they were all coming up perfectly as nickels on my DFX) and fish hook big enough to use in Lake Erie!!

See you soon!

Probably Fishing for this Guy with that Hook DK

Looks like this weekend may be decent if it dosn't rain, & the winds calm down.
Maby we'll try another spot there, where I found alot of
Miners Lamps before. They either used them for Night Fishing or Ice Skating. not sure why so many.

theres an old saying teach a man how to metal detect and you'll teach a man how to fish and feed himself (or something like that Jeff)

PAyoungin said:
Jeff, by any chance is it near the damn?

What Are you Refering to ?

The spot I want to check Next ?

If yes ;
No.
It's accross the lake & in the area of the Second boat house
heading towards the upper end.

sort of accross the lake from where mountain road intersects with sweet arrow road.

========================
========================

the last few times we were across Sweet arrow road from arrowhead lane at that little park the Girlscouts used to use.
They just cut all the Brush down when they drained the lake.

The reason I asked was because my uncle just told my brother and I that he has copies of teh original plans for the damn in the 1800's, a guy gave them to him right before his company began reconstructing it a few years ago. He said that they used to have guys that would stay there over night during construction, with lanterns, in case it began to crack or break. He also told us that they used to have portable iron smith stations that they would move from one side of the damn to the other. Just a bit of history.

Cool info.

this may Explain the Early Coins.

The Lamps I found probably date to 1930's or 40's

but just a Guess, As The Patents date to 1900

But their in the Lake Mud. Not the Soil under it.

here are the 2 nicest ones I have yet

And the Patent on the one I'm holding is February 3, 1931

Those are excellent finds. I had planned on going out today, but I ended up sending my detector back to be replaced.
