A friend of mine demolished an old house to make room for some apartment buildings. He gave me permission to hunt there following deconstruction of the home. The yard had been hunted before and I didn't think I'd find very much. I started out finding a few new coins and moved around to where the old porch once stood. About five sweeps into the search I got a good quarter signal, at about 4 inches deep. I dug down to what I thought might be a silver quarter and out pops the 1826 Large cent. It is the best Large cent I have ever found. I only had about an hour to hunt and I plan to go back there again soon.
Thanks for looking.

Awesome coin Dman! I dug my first LC this past weekend. My first one, I also have dug a 1856 Half Dime, wierd that they have the same date. Yours is in much better shape than mine. Congrats. Tim
