Forrest Fenn s treasure

Liking the Quake Lake / Landslide Dam area. No place for the meek / heavy loads water high...just a thought

Forrest does love the Hebgen area. I always thought water high would be a secret fishing spot at a higher elevation. There are also a lot of those just around Hebgen.

water high,i keep think water tower
asked a stranger about warm water halts, took about 20-30 sec, reply water faucet

I have thought about the painted buffalo they auctioned off at Yellowstone. What better home for the chest than to be entombed in a fiberglass buffalo painted by an artist with high water falls geysers , canyons and such.

There is also a high waterfall in Yellowstone. The problem is that Yellowstone is in the Teaton Mt. range. Frank...

<img src="http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=793663"/>I think this is lake Teaton. It is between Yellowstone and Jackson. Frank...

The Teton Range is a range of the Rocky Mountains.

Posting from West Yellowstone MT, on the hunt ! Took the drive from Reno, 2 days ago, feeling the pain of the first outing, rain, cold still, Tetons are one heck of a range
of mountains, shrouded in majestic clouds! Any good clues always considered, keep you posted as long as can type, hopefully no injuries to come.

70 is the new 40?? Hmm depends on what shape your body is..if your body is body is beat up..it might not be..:)

anyone think he tossed it off a bridge or some falls ?
My opinion is it is NOT in water, or anywhere that there is danger of a flash flood taking it away anytime soon. FF mentioned it somewhere that it is "exposed to snow and rain" (dont quote me on that).
I'm picturing an unused trail along a rockshelf next to a forest. I'm a'thinking he slid it into a hollowed out area low in the rocks, like at feet level, deep enough where you wont see it unless your on your hands and knees.
But then, this is just the opinion of an old, broke down scooter tramp who cant find his ass with BOTH hands...........:headbang:

What about Sinks Canyon State Park as a hiding area ???
The edge of the creek valley next to it looks like a drawing of a blaze in Google satellite view.
