former law abiding gun owner shoots wife over dinner

ok cris, one more time, that is if you consider Random House Webster's College Dictionary a "Reliable academic source". This is their definition:
tyr•an•nyˈtɪr ə ni(n.)(pl.)-nies.

  1. arbitrary or unrestrained exercise of power; despotic abuse of authority.
  2. the government or rule of a tyrant.
    Category: Government
  3. a state ruled by a tyrant.
    Category: Government
  4. oppressive or unjust government.
    Category: Government
  5. undue severity or harshness.
  6. a tyrannical act.
[h=4]Please note that tyranny can be the government itself, you don't need just one person. If a government abuses their power in any way you are living under tyranny. Any attack on the constitution by a government representative is tyranny. You don't have to be the "leader" to be a tyrant, i.e. Bloomberg, Feinstein, Pelosi etc, etc, etc. Anyone subject to laws or regulations resulting from these politicians are living under tyranny.[/h]

Okay, by that definition I can see how you see the current government as causing you to live under tyranny. I think you are looking through a different lens than me but now I know where you are coming from. Anymore more discussion on my behalf will make me sound like stockpicker. However, at least we came up with a definition of tyranny we agree on. We just disagree on how to interpret that definition and apply it. :occasion14:
