When I first started collecting artifacts,I had the hardest time bringing home worked pieces and not just flakes.
With enuff time, and flakes..lol..I got better. So I would like to help another budding collector out by giving them some worked pieces that I have found .Just to help build thier eye.Ya know to show what the hand of man looks like on flint,as it can be hard at times.

A good friend once said to me "knowledge not shared is lost"I think so too..So it's my turn to share....

I will ship it at no cost, but can't do it untill next week.So chime in ya'll & I will send them to who ever wants them the most..Thanx gang...

Neo, that is so nice of you! I hope this will develop the interest in a child. there is nothin quite like watchin a kid find their first (or hundredth) treasure. I have a good collection of "rocks" that I have shared w/ a local school to pique the kids interest. We sat out in the playground finding fossils in the gravel & talking about how they got there. It was a joy!

I would like to take the offer . I bought a book from JunkYardDog to get me and my daughter into hunting . We plan to start hunting this fall or sooner . We have been lurking and seeing all the interesting finds you all have made and decided to give it a try .

It seems to have worked out better then I thought.I am very pleased...

That being said I will put together one more set for someone else as well.So if your new or want to be new at this speak up.

Would appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow, should no one else step up, please consider us, thanks!

("us" being me and my boys)

Consider it done!I would be glad to help.

I will put more up when I can,so if sombody missed this one.Keep a eye out...

Just started about 7-8 weeks ago and have posted pics of my creek finds. Most are water tumbled and a bit harder to identify.
I would find your future offer, if possible, a great way to further my lack of knowledge of what something might look like.
Thanks and wish I had checked your post sooner.............................Check my posts anyway..................

That is an extremely nice thing to do, I love to see kindness and generosity in people. Had an idea for you. I am a school teacher in Southern Illinois and myself and a guy from town give a little presentation to the fourth grade students on hunting arrowheads, maybe you could contact a school and do the same and then give out the pieces to the students. I am telling you they really ate it up this year and we did not even have anything to give them.

That's very nice of you, ng. Maybe you started somethin. You're alright, hoss!

Why thanx...I am very lucky to have a place to dig,I wish to help those who don't.

If this history is not shared it WILL be lost forever. So much history is destroyed and built over here...A LOSS TO THE WHOLE WORLD.

Mayhaps I will do a fossil set as well...I will see how much loot I have next month....Any possable takers?

I think this is great. I too have sent worked peices & points to new collectors. It's the best way to train your eye on whats worked & whats Geo's..
Also Texas as some nice lithics..
Good luck hunting you newbies, just try to study the lithics in your area, its a good start. Good Luck.

Molly.
