ARROWHEAD.jpgDSC_0231.jpg

Here are two of my best finds. My first arrowhead, and my first hardstone piece, a celt.

I guess because I wasn't member long enough back than.

Well I'm going back and voting...

EDIT: I am not actually sure if I am even allowed to vote on a thread that old, I still voted though.

Glad to see this thread keep on rolling.

That umbrella looks so good coming out of the dirt. I wouldn't mind seeing it cleaned up, too.

Here's one that gave itself up just as my son were leaving after a couple of hours of looking a limestone outcropping for shark teeth. Never really expected to find a point in this particular spot and for it to clean up like it did. How currents strong enough to pick up and carry something like this and drop it into all these rocks without damaging it is just amazing.

Buttons

I’ve only been out a handful of times with my simplex plus so far but was elated when I found these two military buttons on the same strip of grass. I believe the larger is a Prussian button and the other is a U.S. shield military. I’m new to this all so if anyone has specific information on them I would greatly appreciate it!

Linney,

A couple of nice buttons thanks for sharing. Maybe a soak in hydrogen peroxide for the Prussian button would be in order.

Bill,
How long would I leave the button in Hydrogen Peroxide?
