🥇 BANNER Flowing Hair Half Dime -- Off the fantasy bucket list - With video

Hi T-net friends.

On Saturday I found a coin that no one expects to dig. 1795 Flowing Hair half dime.

Go easy on me folks--I did kiss this coin with my shovel. It was in the ground at 90 degrees, about 6 inches, and was surrounded by flaky targets making it very difficult to pinpoint.

I know a lot of you folks are vocal about not liking videos on the forum or not trusting links, but I assure you this is a safe link and the video is incredible. Very emotional find for me.



I was using a Fisher F75Ltd and operating in De mode (which I rarely do) 20 disc, 3 tone. The signal was just a whisper with VDI fluctuating between 55-60.

The coin was found in Maryland on private property, with permission.

I'm almost certain this coin would great VG - Damaged. MAYBE fine, but I doubt it. I decided I don't need to slab it to love it forever... Thank you!!!!

The find of a lifetime and you kissed it? it's usually Kurt kissing the coins... after he digs em. "This week... on the Hoover Boys.... POP" better than anything on cable now a days. A Big-O congrats to you Mister.

I know. What are the odds? I just made it mine. Someone else said I couldn't wait to kiss it so I kissed it while it was still in the ground. I'm over the kiss. And over the moon still.

Brad I watch all The Hoover Boys videos. You, Redneck Bob and Kurt give me motivation to keep digging even when it's dark and cold. Congrats on a once in a lifetime dig and I must say you kept it together better then I would have. I would have been in tears.

Hey all i thought i'd share my best find from last year i found it 6-5-2016, it next to a childrens athletics school the main playing field was scraped but they left a patch on the side of the building that was original, me and my uncle were eyeballing it for a while and decided to see what we could beep out the ground and this popped out.

I had the exact same thing happen to me with a 1903 S mint barber dime . Not as rare as your dime but was the same thing I went through . I thought there was a coin but a lot of junk also and could not pin point . My dime was standing up also and was in the wall of the hole at six to seven inches and I also kissed the coin with my shovel . I still feel bad but it is what it is and better to find it than not . Congrats on an spectacular find .

That's a hell of a Barber. When I find myself beating myself up over the ding, I try to also remind myself that my chances of never beeping it at all were much higher than giving it a kiss.
