caught 4 sailfish.....I only had 3 flags to fly. We fly flags upside down to show that the fish was caught and then released in good condition.

Mackerel! I thought maybe there was either a typo or they got big time sponsors. No, not the case. There’s 12,087 people entered. At $30.00 per entry, that’s why the prize money is so much! It’s going to be crazy busy on the lake! We have 6 on our “team.” Us, son, grandson and a friend. We all can’t fish at the same time. I don’t know how it is going to work out, I just hope someone gets a big fish!

Spotted Bass Fishing On Lake Martin, Elmore Co. Alabama 10/27/2020

Gary and I launched again at Kowaliga Bridge and fished from 7:30 - 1:30. Water temp was still 75 w / 5-6 mph wind. Caught them all on the bottom w / 4" Lizards. Most were 20 - 30 feet deep. Kept these 15 out of 16 which yielded 4 pints of fillets.

We didn’t place at all in the fall brawl. As a matter of fact, I threw in the towel in the last week. I have lots of pics and will try to post them in a couple days (we’re having our thanksgiving tomorrow). But, check out the highlighted portion of the news article! 7 years old!!!!!!

caught three nice ones yesterday......this one was hooked in the gill raker and was fatally wounded so we took him home for holiday smoked fish dip !!
