Guys I'm having a blast over here in the bahamas !! Spent most of today shuffling guests from boats to planes, but still caught 2 yellowfins in the afternoon. Only 2 hours trolling and a shark got our last one.20190129_171100.jpg

Wow Bart, what a cool thread! I love seeing all those ocean fish and everyone's catches.
Got a lot of pages to look at still.

Last month my friend from Alberta came into town and we went ice fishing which I haven't done since childhood.
Tried our first spot for 15 minutes and then went closer to an ice ridge and 5 minutes after drilling my second hole......

30.5 inch Walleye (Lake Winnipeg) 03-01-2019.jpg

30.5 inch walleye (close to my size 13 boots) which we forgot to weigh before I released it. Probably 12 to 13 pounds.

Big ones are breeders and small ones are eaters.

Good luck fishing in the water or the dirt.
Cheers.

Thanks for the post and kind comments muddyhandz. Congrats on that monster walleye, that's definitely at the upper end of the size range and a real beauty. Happy hunting to you to !!

20190203_164132.jpg only one mahi today and lost a small marlin . Overall the fishing has been slow for this first part of our bahama trip. Weather has kept us at the dock nearly half the time I've been here. Not only that the weather has kept me from metal detecting when I'm not fishing. Just to rough and windy for me to get to the islands I need to get to for the best hunting. I guess my best find so far is a bengal silver serving spoon from the 1880s - 1900. I'm burned out on the local beach after hitting it 10-12 times. I'll go home for 9 days and do some magnetometer work with American shoal archaeology program. We are hunting for a 1563 spanish galleon named " angel beuano ". Hope to find another bronze cannon or 2. 20190119_221503.jpg20190119_164136.jpg.

???? What the hell........is that a whale skull or something. I've never seen anything like that. RELEASE THE KRAKEN !!!! very cool.....thanks for posting. Please explain.

Whale skull - on a beach in the Sultinate of Oman - Arabian Sea. A few years ago.

We tried to make off with it to decorate our yard - legal there - but the darned thing must have weighed over 200 pounds, my wife and I couldn’t shift it.

20190217_084408.jpg BARRACUDA !!!!these were considered trash at one time. And could contain cignatariua, a poison that is very toxic. People still get sick since it is still eaten a lot.20190217_083932.jpg
