I got out over the weekend and nailed my 72[SUP]nd[/SUP] Spanish Silver, a well worn 1751 pillar style half real. This also keeps my streak alive of finding at least one Spanish silver for 10 consecutive years now. I also got a few buttons and a Matron Head Large Cent that looks like it went through a nuclear holocaust. Both coins have seen better days, but I'll take 'em :laughing7:

Thanks Truth. Hopefully the first silver of 2021 being a Spanish Silver is a good sign.

Haha, considering I average 2.4 Spanish Silvers per year, I'd have to dig a heck of a lot more to get bored :laughing7:

Do you keep track of how many hours dig? Just curious how many hours you average per Spanish.

Short answer = way too many :laughing7:

Seriously, I take photographs of what I find each hunt. I create a folder with the location and date, and file the photos in that folder. I have a yearly folders with sub folders for each hunt. But I don't keep track of how many hours I spend in the field.

Very nice. I'm still working on an efficient way to record everything... sometimes I don't even bother but others I map out each individual find. I need to find balance somewhere in the middle.

so cool, thanks for posting

Congrats on the find, Steve! And thanks for answering my direct message questions - I appreciate it!
