Nice job. Yeah, I bet you were excited. I still love finding mercs. ;D ;D

Private homes around here in Cleveland is the way to go. You can still get silver at some of the parks put you have to put in long hours to pull one or two.

Yes, I would turn down your discrimination at this site and dig all signals. No wheat pennies?

Good luck and welcome to the big leagues. ;) :D

Mudslide,

You've got that right. Alaska is a dream of a place to live... frustrating for a coin hunter in the winter, but we make up for detecting time in the summer. You can read a book outside at 2am - or a VDI display. ;D

Bet that was a thrill to see them come out of the ground!!!!!Great job, Vern

Way ta go Mud!!!!! :o

:o Awesome finds!!

;)

Mirage

Thanks, Mirage- there were 8 wheat pennies from the 40s that were all in poor condition from that soil. Considering it was a rather small lot, I was thrilled to find what I did. There is another silver- probably a merc- that I could not get to because of tree roots. I needed a SAW. The property is up for sale. Now we are under snow for a while, so it may go unretrieved. That HAUNTS me!!!!!!!!!!! :'(? :'(

Remember how your mother dressed you every winter when the snow came?
Well then, just dress that way again and get out there and get that last mercury.

But take some one with you in case you can't get back up because of all the clothes you got on.
