Hey all,

Got out with Echoplex from the forum today. What a stand up guy. He is so knowledgeable and is nice as could be. He's been teaching me about beach hunting over the last month and invited me to hunt a site with him today.

I only had an hour and a half and about 20 minutes in I had my first saltwater silver, a 1938-S Washington. So cool!

I gridded and then wandered for a while only managing another clad Quarter during that stretch but man I had a lot of fun. Found lots of beach trash too. I only photographed the stuff small enough to pack out and throw away.

The whole beach is very rocky which makes it tough to dig but also a good challenge. I imagine it's scared people away in the past.

All in all a very fun day. Can't wait to do some more beach hunting this summer!

After my fiancée and I went to check out an apartment and looks like we got it. I'll be moving 3 blocks away at the end of the month. Big changes coming! :P

Good luck all,
-W

Congrats on the silver. Fiancee ? So what your saying is that your metal detecting career is about to come to an abrupt halt !! Just kidding. Congrats and many happy years to the both of you. My wife and I just celebrated our 33rd Anniversary last week, and she has never interfered with my hobby. In fact, I think she likes it when I go. Cant figure that one out !

I hope not! Haha. She is fine with it and I think she enjoys some time away too.

A silver 2 bits is treasure from the sea - congrats mate! :occasion14:
