I’m no pro and sounds like you know what ur doing but just wondering that maybe the electrical interference in your park/area might make the multifrequency modes run wild. Might try switching to a low single frequency while in park of ur going after coins. Who knows, just ideas
Certainly my first thought too, but my CTX is perfectly quite in the same location, and multifrequency in Field mode on the Legend is fine. Weird, and just my luck! :-\:-\

Ahhh I see. Yeah, and of course always the chance they just sent you a dud! Hope it works out

Couldn’t wait until the weekend and was able to get one hour in at a modern park down the road. Plan to spend half a day at an old park this weekend and start going for deeper old targets but so far am impressed with the machine. (The rings are plated)

Park mode, multi freq 1
Heck yes! Anxiously awaiting Legend Pro Pack. I am officially jealous but so glad you have a good first impression

Installed the new firmware last night and that fixed the problem!! Had about an hour this morning at a park before work, and the machine worked flawlessly. I was able to run at 25/26 sensitivity with no problem. Hit a similar amount of clad as you, as well as the head of a stainless steel spoon and a piece of junk jewelry.

I'm very excited about it's capabilities after just that first hour of operating normally. I especially found the pinpointer function to be spot on, with almost everything I found right near the middle of the plug/hole.

Great to hear…yeah that was the main difficulty I had out the second day was pinpointing targets but glad to see the fix. I’m new to multifrequency but can already tell I’m picking out small targets previously missed at my old sites

Very nice!

I only had a chance to dig a few targets with the problems I was having with the original firmware, but I also experienced that they did not pinpoint well. The update was night and day, right on target.
