I went to a spot beside the high school where I work. I've hit this spot a few times in the past finding a 1943 mercury dime; a 1910 V nickel; and a couple of wheat pennies. Well today I wasn't there ten minutes and found my first half dollar dated 1918! It has the Denver mintmark. I also found two old watches close to where I found the coin. One is a timex; and the other is a helbros? I haven't researched them much to learn more about them. Thanks for looking.

Take your time dude,Cherry pick, then go back for the real good stuff, sounds like you got the spot for, search it well. GodBless Chris

I just want to say how weird it is that you commented on my post saying finding the half I found would make your year and then you go out and find the exact same year and mintmark half dollar that I did, haha.

Kleiners, I was thinking the same thing but I didn't realize tours was a 1918. I just remember commenting on someone else's. ha ha pretty cool. I'm going to have to comment the next time someone finds a gold coin!

Awesome finds and love that silver! Sounds like you have some more digging to do there! Congrats, sir!
